Paul's Letter to the Romans: 21 Days

Journey through Paul's theological masterpiece from start to finish. Over 21 days, explore the gospel of God's righteousness — from universal human need through justification by faith to life in the Spirit and the hope of new creation.

21 daysAdvancedRomans, Genesis, Habakkuk, Isaiah, Psalm, Deuteronomy, Hosea

Romans is the closest thing Paul ever wrote to a systematic presentation of the gospel. Written to a church he had never visited, in the capital of the empire that would eventually execute him, it sets out the full scope of what God has done in Jesus the Messiah — for Jews and Gentiles alike, for individuals and for the whole creation.

Martin Luther said that Romans deserved to be "known by heart, word for word." John Calvin called it "an entrance to the most hidden treasures of Scripture." For two thousand years, this letter has sparked reformations, converted skeptics, and reshaped the church.

What You'll Discover

Over 21 days, you will work through the entire letter:

  • Days 1-5 — The human problem: God's righteousness, human rebellion, and the verdict that no one is righteous
  • Days 6-8 — The divine solution: justification by faith, Abraham as the model, and peace with God
  • Days 9-12 — The new life: union with Christ, the struggle with sin, and the glorious freedom of life in the Spirit
  • Days 13-15 — The Israel question: has God's word failed? Paul's anguished, hopeful answer across three chapters
  • Days 16-19 — The transformed community: living sacrifice, love in action, the weak and the strong
  • Days 20-21 — The big picture and personal application
